Pre Midterm Prep:

It is very important that you prepare for the midterm exam. The midterm will be very similar to the quiz. You will have a bunch small tasks to complete. The tasks sum to a complete program. There will be about 200 possible points on the exam, but the exam is grades out of 100 points. If you are not doing well right now,  a strong showing on the midterm could fix that problem.  Here are the key concept on which to focus for the midterm:

• Variables and data types (Boolean, numerical ints and floats, objects)
• Loops (for loop, while loop)
• Scene and Game management (entity movement, input detection)
• Basic Computer Graphics (double buffering, render, update, etc)

I strongly suggest you use the following resources in preparing for the exam:

• Blitz3D Crash Course
• Programming for Teens

Also, have your in-class examples ready and organized.
