Team 1: Asylum
The following games offer a good scare:
- Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth: Site

Then there are the usual's, Resident Evil, Silent Hill, System Shock 2, and
I'd add Alone in the Dark.

Games to Consider and Review:
- Turning Point
Fall of Liberty : what happens when the bad guys take over your home "town."
- Exit: Review
: Some of the challenges in leading NPC's with AI. See complaints about "escapology"
- The Great Escape: Overview
: "Remake" of an old film - a little stealth, a little puzzle, etc.
- Vampire Rain: Review
- the problem of having weak story - even if you are working with Microsoft.
- Office Purks : uh
. . . it's an office game :)
